EGC Senior players Mr. KANNAN GOPI, Mr. PRASANTH, and Mr. SYED MIR ALI attended the ICC Coaching Course Level 1 organized by the Saudi Cricket Federation (#SACF) on the behest and mentorship of their mentor, coach, and the 1st and Highest qualified coach in Saudi Arabia Mr. Mohammed Azimooddin Karajagi to enhance their overall skills in the world of coaching and give them the platform to polish their physical and mental skills and to pass on the knowledge to develop youth as they are doing from last 3 years in Riyadh in REGC academy.
REGC management and players would like to thank Riyadh Cricket Association ( RCA ), Patron, inChief HRH Major Dr. General Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President Tariq Jawed, CEO Mohammed Nadeem Babar, and Sr. vice President Nasir Abbasi for giving the opportunity to be selected from the Association to enhance the experience and Coaching skills.
The trio express their gratitude and are indebted for life to their mentor Mohammed Azimooddin Karajagi to pa’s on the legacy of 3 codes of behavior, ethics, (moral) standards, and principles.

The course was for 4 days with 16 hours total in which the first 3 days were spent going through the level 1 coaching course and the final day was the practical assessment by the ICC Development Office Mr. Iqbal Sikander and SACF coach Kabir Khan. During the training session, William Glenwright of the ICC Development Committee visited and shared his view and congratulated the coaches, and wished them all the best in developing the young youth.
He also limelight, praised the active participation of 5 women breaking all the barriers and taking the courage to stand shoulder to shoulder with men and successfully clearing the foundation course and ICC level 1 course by 94% and attending the 4 days sessions for their practical assessment and highlight fact of the ICC active involvement in women’s cricket and coaching
REGC founder and mentor Mohammed Azimooddin congratulated the 3 to achieve 100% success and recalled his journey with the greats in the 1st ever ICC level 1 course organized by ICC in Dubai in March 2010-11 headed and assessed by the late Rodney Marsh (Wk & Fielding – Skills), Dayle Hadlee(Fast bowling) and Mudasasr Nazar (BATTING skills). He expresses his gratitude towards Rodney Marsh for being the best mentor in his journey of coaching education and endows his success today because of the seeds sown in 2010.
The participants are delighted, excited, and confident to pass on the legacy to the youth of Saudi and Riyadh Cricket as their mentor Mohammed Azimooddin is doing for the past 7 years In Saudi Arabia cricket in various roles with success.
